2015 Mercedes S-Class Coupe

...All New Model Introduction...

2015 Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupe

Mercedes recently showcased photos of the upcoming all-new S-Class Coupe, and it is really, really impressive looking!!! The new S-Class Coupe is based upon the S-Class sedan, and shares many of its features, including having only LED lights, and it comes standard with four-wheel-drive.

I remember when I was 16 years old, back in the early eighties totally tripping on the Mercedes-Benz 500 SEC. I remember at the time thinking the ultimate cars were the Porsche 911 Cabriolet, the BMW 635csi, and the Mercedes-Benz 500SEC. In retrospect, the model that has endured the most since that time would likely be the 500SEC Open Air Coupe.

The photo above shows the Mercedes-Benz 500SEC from the early 1980s, and in the photos above and below we see its new-born grandson, the all-new Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupe, which is a very serious piece of automotive engineering.

I remember how badly I wanted a 500SEC, but I never got one. I remember thinking at the time that the 500SEC was the ultimate cool car, because it looked so modern, yet timeless, and masculine, and when you opened the sunroof and rolled down all four side windows, you experienced a car that in many ways felt like a convertible with the top down, but with the protection and stability of the C Pillar.
